Welcome to Healing Hearts Northwest Rwandan Trip 2015
This year's team is made up of 46 staff. Here is the make up of HHNW 2015:33 staff from Spokane
15 staff from out of town: Coeur d'Alene, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Palm Springs, Florida, San Francisco, and Australia!
18 nurses, 2 sononographers, 2 perfusionists, 1 biomedical engineer, 1 pharmacist, 1 physician assistant, 3 OR techs, 1 surgical assistant, 2 anesthesiologists, 2 thoracic surgeons, 3 cardiologists, 3 pulmonologists, 1 medical resident, 1 med student, 4 volunteers, a guest Australian pharmacist/administrator, a photographer/videographer, 2 screeners who came in August to examine and screen patients who qualify for surgery.
HHNW has been coming to Rwanda since 2010. We have 7 members who have been to Rwanda 5 times, 5 members who have come 4 years, 3 members 3 years, 11 people have come twice, 15 first timers. Joy Miller, a nurse from Seattle has come twice with HHNW and once with Boston's Team Heart. Jim Dixon, our biomedical engineer extraditable has gone 5 times with HHNW and 3 with Boston. Hal Goldberg has come 6 times in various capacities as our FEARLESS LEADER!l
